Examples of chivalrous gestures include keeping the door open followed by a “ladies first”, carrying a woman's bags, giving up their seat to a woman. 

Bonded scholarship programmes in places like Singapore and Malaysia facilitate the ability of students to study abroad at elite universities. These programs are paid for by the state in return for the student being "bonded" to work for the state for a given period of time (3, 5, 10 years). It is possible for students to occasionally abandon their bond and pay back the cost of education at a large premium.

There is a tribe of about 100 people who sacrifice one member every year for the purpose of a religious ritual. There is no way to disobey this ritual, otherwise God would be angry with the tribe and destroy it completely. It does not matter to God which individual is sacrificed.
